How My Story Started...
My favorite photograph that I cherish so deeply is the first photograph taken with my mother. The emotions it provokes sparks my passion to share that feeling with others by documenting the birth experience.

At the very young age of three, I was fascinated with the camera and took my first photograph. My love and passion for the art of photography continued to grow as I did. In high school I took my first dark room photography course. I will never forget the first time I watched an image being developed. I loved the moment the chemicals hit the paper. To see the image reveal itself as the moment stood still as like to the click of a shutter.
After graduating high school, I enrolled at Shawnee State University and majored in Fine Art Photography. While attending, I was also fulfilling a scholarship within community service from AmeriCorps. I found an old art gallery that had been vacant and set up a 25 image series, titled Remains & Ruins, and donated all profits to Habitat for Humanity. It was an experience that truly shaped me as a young artist.

Several years ago I relocated to Sarasota, Florida and began my career as a newborn and family portrait photographer. I currently work full time
with Baby Face Portraits. For over 7 years, I have been able to capture the delight and joy of families experiencing and welcoming their newborns. It is quite an honor to do so. In addition, I capture families in the community by also working as an in home photographer for Expressions Photography, a division of Baby Face Portraits.

As my career has continued to grow with Baby Face & Expressions I have found it has guided me to the birthing community. This is my next step in continuing my photography journey. For me, there is nothing like capturing and documenting that magical experience of that sacred moment when giving new life! It is a honor to be able to capture life long memories with the click of my shutter.
